A Silk Road tour starts from the royal cultural Beijing which is the capital city of China.Then comes to Dunhuang, which was once the holy place on the Silk Road. Continue to Urumqi, a capital in the largest Uigur region with the variety of nationalities. Turpan and Kashgar, these cities had been flourishing in history.
Tour  Itinerary:
 
Day 1 USA-Beijing
You take the flight to Beijing.
 
Day 2 Beijing (L)
On arrival, our guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you. You will be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax.

Day 3 Beijing (B, L)
In the morning, you take a half-day excursion to explore the incredible Forbidden City with its grand palaces and courtyards. Built in 1420, it was here that 24 emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years. The South Gate leads you to Tian'anmen Square - the biggest of its kind in the world. In the afternoon, you continue to the beautiful Summer Palace where you can discover gardens, palaces and pavilions with temples and halls in a tranquil, landscaped lakeside setting. Then you explore the Temple of Heaven which itself has become a symbol of the city. Here ancient emperor worshipped God and prayed for harvest.

Day 4 Beijing (B, L)
In the morning, you will take a half-day guided visit to the awesome Great Wall of China. Here you can enjoy the stunning views as you stroll along this seemingly endless piece of history, which winds its way into the far distance. In the afternoon, you continue to the Ming Tomb, which took over 200 years to complete.

Day 5 Beijing to Dunhuang (B, L)
In the morning, you take a flight to Dunhuang, which was an important place along the Silk Road. In the aAfternoon, you have a visit to Mingsha Sand Dune and Crescent-Moon Spring, and take a ride on camelback. Finally you are transferred to the hotel.

Day 6 Dunhuang to Turpan (B, L)
You have a full day visit to Mogao Grottoes and Dunhuang Mesuem, which will provide you a better understanding of the great Mogao Grottoes. Then you are transferred to the rail station and take an overnight soft sleeper train to Turpan.

Day 7 Turpan (B, L)
In the morning, you arrive at Turpan and meet the guide. You will have a Sightseeing of the Ancient City of Gaochang, the ancient walled capital of the Uighurs that flourished between the 7th and 14th centuries and the Emin Minaret (Su Gong Ta). In the afternoon, you continue to the amazing 2,000-year-old Karez Irrigation Tunnels, which brought water from melting snow on the mountains to this parched city.

Day 8 Turpan (B, L)
In the morning, you have a tour of the ruins of Jiaohe City with large fragments of actual streets and buildings. In the afternoon, you will have half-day visit to the Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Caves and the Grape Valley where you will take a walk along the grape corridor.

Day 9 Turpan to Urumqi (B, L)
In the morning, you will take a three-hour drive to Urumqi by the private car. In the afternoon, you are free for the rest of the day.

Day 10 Urumuqi (B, L)
You enjoy a full day excursion to the Heavenly Lake, nestled in the Heavenly Mountain (Tianshan Mountain) range. Then you are transferred to the hotel.

Day 11 Urumuqi to Kashgar (B, L)
You could go to the local bazaar on your own this morning. And then you take the overnight train which departs at afternoon to Kashgar, a center for trade between China and the outside world for 2000 years.

Day 12 Kashgar (B, L)
In the morning, you arrive at Kashgar in the noon. In the afternoon,  you explore the Stone City which was famous for its location at the junction of the middle and south of the ancient Silk Road.

Day 13 Kashgar (B, L)
You have a full day to visit the Id Kah Emin mosque, one of the largest in China and the Tomb of the Fragrant Lady.

Day 14 Kashgary to Urumqi (B, L)
In the morning, you explore the Old Town Area of Kashgar. In the afternoon, you take the overnight train to Urumqi.

Day 15 Urumuqi to Beijing (B, L)
Upon arrival at Urumqi in the noon, you take the flight to Beijing. After being transferred to the hotel, you are free to relax or explore.

Day 16 Beijing (B)
You are transferred to the airport for your flight to your homeland.
