Tour Itinerary:

Day 1 Beijing - Lhasa
Get to the airport by yourself (by taxi or shuttlebus) for your flight to Lhasa in the morning. Arrive at Gonggar airport and meet guide at the airport and transfer to the hotel in Lhasa with 1.5 hours drive. The afternoon is been left free for acclimatization or visiting local bazaar on your own.

Day 2 Lhasa (B,L)
Guided sightseeing with the Lhasa's cardinal landmark-Potala Palace, which rises majestically from the face of sacred Putuo Hill. This massive 13-soreyed building used to be the highest building prior to the early period of last century, used to be the former winter abode for the Dalai Lamas. As the nation's supreme relic, the palace dates back to 7th century A.D. In the afternoon, you will visit Sera Monastery, which was founded in 1419 by Sakya Yeshe, a disciple of Tsongkhapa. The "Buddhism Scriptures Debating" in Sera is very famous.

Day 3 Lhasa (B,L)
Today's tour begins with the most revered religious structure in Tibet - Jokhang Temple. Jokhang, the most sacred temple in Tibet, refers to "Buddha's House" in Tibetan language because the main statue enshrined which said to be made by Buddha Sakyamuni himself in his lifetime. The surrounding market is called Barkhor, one of the most important religious paths, which also assembles people for shopping. Here You can get a glimpse of daily Tibetan life. Afternoon continues to the cliff top Drepung Monastery.

Day 4 Lhasa - Yamdroktso - Gyantse (B,L)
Leave for Gyanste, after about 3.5 hours' driving, climbing over the snow pass of Kambala(4790m), have a overlooking the Yangdrok lake at top of the KambabaLa pass, the view of the lake and the snowpeak afar are marvelous and impressive. After down from the mountain, we continue our drive along the lakeside, stop for after about 90km. Arriving in Gyangtse in the afternoon, visit Perkhor Chode monastery in the sunset time. This monastery is known for its Kumbum (10,000 images) Stupa.
 
Day 5 Gyangtse – Shigatse – Tingri (Shegar) (B,L)
Visit the Sakya monastery enroute.

Day 6 Tingri - Everest Base Camp (B,L)
Early morning start driving to Rongbuk monastery. The road is a bit rough, on the way you will cross over Gyatsola Pass at 5,220 m, which is the highest enroute. Rongbuk is the highest monastery in Tibet, still a good point to see Mt.Everst. Afternoon start trekking from Rongbuk to E.B.C , it takes about 2 hours. you can take animal carriage. Overynight at E.B.C tent Guesthouse.(note: dorm beds. please take your sleeping bag in case it is too cold).

Day 7 Tingri - Shigatse (B,L)
Leave the small town of Tingri to Shigatse, the second large city in Tibet and the capital of Tsang. Visit to the impressive Tashilhunpo Monastery, a sprawling complex with a gigantic Maitreya (Future Buddha) statue, and its surroundings, including the six-story bronze Buddha and the Maitreya Buddha made from 614 pounds of pure gold. Various temples contain ornate reliquary chortens. Visit Shigatse's outdoor market for some real treasures.

Day 8 Shigatse - Lhasa (B,L)
This day is an easy journey, driving along the Yarlung Zsangpo River back to Lhasa. On the way stop at a small village side the road to visit the Tibetan handmade incense mill and workshop.

Day 9 Lhasa –Namtso - Lhasa (B,L)
Day tour to Namtso Lake via Yangpachen hot-spring. On the way you will see Nyenchen Thanglha snow mountain ranges, and also you will pass the Nagela Pass. Namtso Lake is the sky lake which is one of the three holy lakes, and also the highest salt lake. You can do a bit trekking at the lake side . On the way back , you will have a chance to have hot-spring at Yangbachen. Overnight in Lhasa .

Day 9 Lhasa - Lanzhou (B)
Transfer to the railway station in the morning for your train to Lanzhou.

Day 10 Lanzhou – Beijing
Arrive in Lanzhou at noon.  Transfer to the airport by yourself (by taxi or shuttlebus) for your flight to Beijing. End of your trip.
