Q & A: Tours Reservation
1. How to make a reservation?
2. What is a package tour?
3. Are your tour packages customizable (tailor-made by our travel advisor)?
4. How long before the tour beginning date do I need to make the reservation?
5. Do I need to include all the meals in the package?
6. When will I get confirmation letter?

8. Why I can't receive my flight tickets or train tickets all at once at the time when I enter China?
9. Is it possible to send us the domestic plane tickets to our home in the US? We need to have them as soon as we have made our payment.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. How to make a reservation?
You can make a reservation per Internet by submitting enquiry forms(You may also just send us a single email message) or by telephone.
We will reply to you within 24 hours.  It is more expensive to make a reservation by telephone than on the Internet.

2. What is a Private package tour?
Does you small group of family or friends (1-9 People) want privacy and freedom to change the schedule at short notice? Yes, then work with our travel advisors to design an Independent China Package to suit your needs.
Private Package means we will provide you with a private vehicle, which is big enough for your group of people, and a private driver and guide for private tours and transfers as listed in our itinerary.
Private Packages are usually small groups consisting of 1-9 people (individuals, family or friends).traveling together who want to enjoy the convenience and privacy of traveling in one vehicle by themselves. Choosing a PRIVATE TOUR will give much more flexibility with your itinerary and time. Your group will have an experienced private guide and driver at your disposal to ensure that you experience the best we have to offer. Groups of 1-3 guests will usually travel by air-conditioned car while groups of 4-9 will travel by air-conditioned van. Is you group 5 or larger? Check our price for a PRIVATE GROUP TOUR! You will be pleasantly surprised.

3. Are your tour packages customizable (tailor-made by our travel advisor)?
Yes, all the packages we offer are customizable to meet your satisfaction. We know everyone wants something different, so our job is to work with you to design a perfect trip to China according to your preferences. Our purpose is to provide a personalized tour to you.

4. How long before the tour beginning date do I need to make the reservation?
Late reservations can not be guaranteed for the hotel rooms and tour prices, especially tours during the high season. We usually suggest our clients make reservations at least two months before the departure date. If you come to China in September or October, we recommend you make the reservations three months prior to your departure date.
However, we are capable to take late reservations and we will try all means to help you succeed your travel arrangement. It is usually no problem for us to make a tour more than 5 days prior to the departure date. We encourage you to call us directly by telephone if your reservation is very late.

5. Do I need to include all the meals in the package?
Kaisertour.com used to include all meals for our clients traveling in China. But from the previous customer's responses, we find that most of our clients prefer to leave the dinners open on their own so that they can enjoy some time themselves after a day's tour with our guide and driver. They can choose either to go to a local restaurant for a little adventure or to have a simple dinner in the hotel where they stay. They may also prefer to choose a unique restaurant which appeals to their own unique interests. We have previous clients saying that they missed western food after 10 days' lunches and dinners all in Chinese style and at last they decided to skip the Chinese dinner in local restaurant and choose to have a western dinner in hotel. So generally, we only provide the lunch.
For some "off-the-beaten-road" destinations, we will take the liberty to include dinners in those places where we think it is better to get meals pre-arranged, because our clients may find it very difficult to communicate with the locals or hard to find a restaurant.

6. When will I get confirmation letter?
Once we have received the "booking Guarantee" Email/Fax from you, we will proceed your booking order immediately and send you confirmation letter when everything is confirmed as what we proposed. The process of confirming your tour will take 1 to 10 days depending on how early and how unique your tour is. All of the proposed hotels, flights were available at the time when we were proposing for you, but we are not able to guarantee the availability of the same proposals since booking status are changing fast. Although Kaisertour.com makes every effort to ensure that your itinerary remains the same as it was when booked, however we are unable to guarantee that this will happen. If we are not able to book what we have proposed for you, we will give you other options and ask for your approval before securing the booking.

7. Can I confirm a non-smoking hotel room?
Yes,we can book a non-smoking or other type of room for you upon your requirements.

8. Why I can't receive my flight tickets or train tickets all at once at the time when I enter China?
I am writing to explain the situation regarding the issuing of tickets for tour groups in China as this is sometimes a concern for our customers who think the system is unusual. There are differences in the way the systems operates in China to other countries and the team Kaisertour.com wants to ensure you that we will always protect you and your interests. We are working to ensure you get the best deals and service.
Air Travel
It may not always be possible to issue airline tickets for you whole tour before the commencement of your tour. This situation is caused by the need to purchase tickets in a particular city to obtain the best possible airfare. Your guide will ensure that your tickets are available for each leg of your journey. If you are unescorted for all or part of your tour we will ensure that your air tickets are available form your hotel in good time for your departure. We will attempt to have the tickets available when you check into your hotel on your arrival in the city.
Train Travel
Train tickets can only be bought at the origin city for the train travel and can only be collected 5 days before the date for travel. This means that train tickets will always be collected by the traveler on arrival in that city.
We specialize in overcoming the difficulties of traveling in China and thereby make it easy for you to enjoy the delights of our fascinating country. I trust this explains the reasons why all tickets may not be available immediately but assure you that our reputation has been built no honesty, integrity and our desire to provide the best service.

9. Is it possible to send us the domestic plane tickets to our home in the US? We need to have them as soon as we have made our payment.
Yes, it is possible. But, we do not advice you to do so. Generally speaking, we can e-mail you most of the domestic plane tickets via internet, as for the rest of these tickes, they will be handled to you by local guides soon as you arrive here. The reasons why we have to do so are as below:
1). Change of your flight or and even cancellation of flights happens quite often before flying date, airline company may put all clients into one flight if there will be not enough passengers for different flights. Airline Company will only inform us only but not clients. If this happens, we have to reissue or take the ticket back to receive a stamp confirmation. As a matter of fact, we usually wait until the last day according to airlines company regulations before issuing the tickets in order to avoid work in vain.
2). It may not always be possible to issue airline tickets for you whole tour before the commencement of your tour. This situation is caused by the need to purchase tickets in a particular city to obtain the best possible airfare. Your guide will ensure that your tickets are available for each leg of your journey. If you are unescorted for all or part of your tour we will ensure that your air tickets are available from your hotel in good time for your departure. We will attempt to have the tickets available when you check into your hotel on your arrival in the city.
3). Travelers to Tibet and Yunnan will always have to collect tickets when they arrive as laws prevent us from purchasing tickets outside those regions.

Q & A: Quotation
1. I found some of your quotations are more expensive than those offered by your competitors, why?
2. Does your quotation include the international flight?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. I found some of your quotes are more expensive than those offered by your competitors, why?
The Chinese tour and travel industry is very competitive and we know that we have to offer tour packages that provide value for money. At the same time, we want you to remember your time in China with fondness.
"Money makes the world go around". However, we will not sacrifice service so that we can offer a product that we know in our hearts may disappoint you.  We care about price but we also want to provide a great experience for you on your holiday. Besides, the elements below may influence the quotation:
1). We don't have any hidden Fee's, while some travel agencies do.
2). Your guide is a very important person in ensuring you get the most from your tour package. As a result of intense competition and low margins in the travel industry, some tour operators require their guides to pay the company to allow them to host the tour group. This means that the guide must find ways to earn money from the members of the tour group. We do not believe that this is an ethical or fair way to do business and can easily lead to the guide being forced to indulge in questionable practices. Our price includes a fair profit for all partners who combine to provide your package. Everybody wins!
3). We would also urge you to confirm that standard of accommodation/seating offered in hotel and cruises are identical to ours. Some operators may not provide the same standards or services offered by Kaisertour.com.
4). Travel in China is not an exact science but when the unexpected does happen we have the management team to handle it and to ensure that any inconvenience is minimal. Our team is behind you, your group and your guide all the way.
I would like to thank you for your willingness to give us the opportunity to explain how we structure the price of tour packages and trust that our explanation as been helpful. We will give you the best possible price and the best possible service for your China Experience.

2. Does your quotation include the international flight?
Your quotation from Kaisertour.com will not include international flights. We suggest that you obtain the best deal from international airlines that will be able to offer special discounted airfares to combine with the exceptional quotation that Kaisertour.com will provide for you.

Q & A: Money
1. How about the money stuff?
2. What credit cards are accepted in China?
3. May I take Chinese currency to China for my convenience? Is it illegal to import or export Chinese currency?
4. Which traveler's cheques are handled by the Bank of China?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. How about the money stuff?
China's legal tender is Renminbi (RMB). Foreign currencies can not be used directly in China, though some shops illegally accept foreign currencies.
The basic unit of RMB is yuan. 1 yuan (or kuai) =10 jiao (or mao), and 1 jiao = 10 fen. RMB is available in both paper notes and coins. The denominations of paper notes are 100, 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1 yuan; 5, 2 and 1 jiao; and 5, 2 and 1 fen. The denominations of coins are 1 yuan; 5, 2 and 1 jiao; and 5, 2 and 1 fen. Hong Kong uses HK dollars.
Foreign currencies may be converted into RMB at all banks, bank branches or hotels at the exchange rate quoted on the foreign exchange marker on the day.
Black market in foreign currency is forbidden in China. People may approach you in front of hotels, at tourist spots or at banks for a black market exchange. You should be extremely careful. The exchange rate may be attractive--higher than the bank rate--but it is illegal and you risk being cheated. Sometimes these people don't give you the right amount, since you don't have time to count the money or, even worse, they may give you fake notes or a bundle of plain paper with a few notes on the top.
When you exchange money at the banks, you should ask for a certificate, with which you can change RMB back to foreign currency when you leave the country.
The Bank of China is the bank which specializes in handing credit cards issued in foreign countries. They include Visa, MasterCard, Diner's Card, American Express, JCB, Million Card and Federal Card.
These cards can be used at major hotels and shopping centres where the Bank of China has branches. In the event that you lose your card, you should report to one of the branches of the Bank of China and apply for a replacement.
The Bank of China has an agreement with foreign financial organizations on selling, cashing in and compensating for traveler's cheques.
The official exchange rate at this time is 7 yuan to 1 US dollar. Keep the receipt of the transaction as you might need when you leave China to change your US dollars back in Bank of China at the airport.

2. What credit cards are accepted in China?
Most of the internationally accepted credit cards are usable in China. They include: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diner's Club, and the JCB card of Japan.
Credit cards are accepted only in large shopping malls and stores. Credit card symbols are displayed in the visible place in shops and hotels indicating credit cards are accepted.

3. May I take Chinese currency to China for my convenience? Is it illegal to import or export Chinese currency?
Generally, you need not take Chinese currency to China since you can easily exchange you US$ into Chinese Rmb in hotels and banks. However, if you would like to have local currency upon your arrival in China, it is okay that you may take a volume of Chinese currency less than 6,000 Rmb without declaration at the customs. You are required to declare your import of Chinese currency exceeding 6,000 Rmb.

4. Which traveler's cheques are handled by the Bank of China?
Issued by Currencies:
Thomas Cook USD HKD DEM FRF CAD
AUD JPY CHF GBP
International Payment Co. USD GBP CAD
American Express Co. USD DEM FRF
Citibank USD

Q & A:  Payment
1. What methods of payment do you accept?
2. What guarantee do we have if we send our money to your bank by wire transfer?
3. Will the money you charged to my card be more than that you claimed to me?
4. Can you make the refunding directly to my account (via wire transfer)?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are now able to offer 3 methods of Payment according to different situations applicable: 1) Credit card; 2) Wire transfer; 3) Cash & check

2.What guarantee do we have if we send our money to your bank by wire transfer?
Actually we understand your worries to book a tour online. Any worries are reasonable. We will inform you once we receive you payment by email or fax. Also we will fax you the receipt of your payment. But we know that is not enough.
In China every travel agent is imposed to deposit a certain amount of money to a guarantee fund at the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA). We deposited RMB1,000,000.00 (about USD147,000) at the account of the China National Tourism Administration as our quality guarantee fund in case of guest complaints. So we have to serve our guests as your itinerary states. Otherwise our fund would be deducted and refunded to you if the complaint meets any breaches of items of the tourist law. Please keep the receipt your bank gives you if you wire transfer a deposit.

3.Will the money you charged to my card be more than that you claimed to me?
No, we won't. We charge the money as we claimed completely. It may occur in other travel agencies for different exchange rates.

4.Can you make the refunding directly to my account/credit card?
Yes,we can do it via Paypal.
